The planned parliament march on July 20 will test whether the movement can go above its strong online presence to maintain momentum on the field and bring in lasting reforms for the 22 lac students affected by exam disruptions.
What We Think
The Indian government may have captured one protester and forcibly ended his 20 day long hunger strike but they did not manage to silence the anger behind it. CJP’s founding and meteoric rise is an example of how this generation of students is no longer willing to sit still and let administrative failures ruin their futures. No matter how hard governments try to dismiss protests, ignoring student concerns will not make them disappear.
