Complaint filed at ICT against 27 people over instigation & support of mass killings in July 2024 uprising

Why it Matters
Until now, most ICT cases linked to the July uprising have focused on political leaders and members of the security forces. It could expand the tribunal's focus beyond those accused of carrying out violence to those accused of helping shape and normalize it.

If influential public figures are alleged to have encouraged violence, those claims need to be investigated with the same level of seriousness as allegations against politicians or security officials, with the outcome decided in court rather than in public debate.
