In May, after an armed attack on a joint forces camp in Jungle Salimpur, the Home Minister vowed that the area would be brought under the government's control and no longer remain a sanctuary for criminals. Yet just two months later, police are investigating another alleged attack targeting security personnel, this time through their water supply. If the government's goal is to restore lasting control over Jungle Salimpur, it will have to show that repeated attacks can be prevented, not just investigated after they happen.
