What We Think
This is a good step for protecting women and children from deepfakes and online abuse. But the Cyber Safety Act 2026 already has one of its own drafters saying the BNP government is allegedly misusing it, so this panel's power to act on its own initiative needs real limits. Fighting deepfakes is a genuine need, but it should never become a loophole to silence valid critics.
