What We Think
BNP's stance on the Charter has clearly moved. Before the election, it campaigned for a yes vote and signed the Charter itself. After winning, it started arguing implementation must go through parliamentary procedure, and now picks and chooses which reforms to accept based on its own manifesto, not the referendum result. That shift from full backing to selective compliance is exactly why trust is eroding. If BNP wants to avoid another uprising, it needs to implement the Charter it publicly endorsed, not the version that happens to suit its own 31 point agenda.
